Chelsey Caprine
Audiologist
A Southern California native, Chelsey attended CSUN for her undergraduate degree and earned her doctorate in audiology from the University of Washington in Seattle in 2017. Her externship year was spent with the renowned House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles.
As an ASHA certified dispensing audiologist at Nelson Audiology, Chelsey loves the combination of being a detective (diagnosing hearing levels), sharing her knowledge (patient education and counseling), and having plenty of hands-on experience with constantly updating technology.
Her daily responsibilities include conducting diagnostic testing and recommending hearing aids and other assistive technology. Chelsey has extensive experience working in pediatrics and is also knowledgeable in the administration and interpretation of highly specialized speech testing.
Chelsey is passionate about helping people form more meaningful connections with the world around them and finds her job incredibly rewarding. She says that enhancing people’s access to sound expands their communication opportunities and allows them to communicate with friends and family, collaborate with colleagues, and engage in conversations with more confidence.
In her free time, Chelsey can be found curled up with a good book, getting creative with crafting, shopping with her best friend, or spending time with her partner and their dog.
